Harmony Road Music Course

Group Musicianship courses focused on developing musical awareness and understanding through

  • Solfege singing (do re mi fa so)
  • Ear Training
  • Rhythmic activites and movement
  • Keyboard discovery and playing
  • Creative activites and composing 

We provide a layered curriculum for student success.  Everything they learn in class is to help them build their base for quicker more knowledgable success in music.

We provide age specific courses and materials.

Classes Start

  • List of Classes

    Each class will provide:

    • A group setting:  "Children are the best teachers"
    • A Certified teacher who understand children's learing styles.
    • Motivating materials with CD music support.
    • A layered curriculum for student success.  "Everything they learn in class is for a reason."

     

  • Toddler tunes   (ages 18mo. to 3 years)

    A joyful first music experience.  Tots and parents share in a music-making program of rhythms, fingerplays, active movement games, keyboard exploration and singing.

    (18 week sessions - 30 minutes per week ) 

    $55 mo or $180 advance payment - Registration fee $40 per family (paid to reserve your place in the class)  and materials fee of $40 

  • The Music in Me & More Music in Me (ages 3 to 4 years)

    The Music In Me is a dynamic readiness program for young children with emphasis on ear training, solfege singing (do re mi) movement, keyboard activities, pitch and rhythm awareness.  Creativity is stressed.  Parents are involved in class and at home.

    ( 2 )- 18 week programs - 45 minutes per week

    $65 mo. or $240 advance payment - Registration fee $40 pre family(paid in advance to reserve your place in class)& Material Fee of $40

  • Harmony Road (ages 4 1/2 to 6 years)

    The Harmony Road course is carefully constructed for children to learn the basic building blocks of music.  Emphasis areas are ear training, solfege singing (do re mi), solo and ensemble keyboard playing, rhythm activities, movement, and music creativity.  This exceptional course gives the student "inner hearing," which makes skills such as transposing, improvisation and composing easily accessible in their musical studies.  Parents share in the group experience.

    (4) 18 week semesters - 50 minutes per week

    $85 mo.  - Registration of $40 (paid in advance to reserve your place in class)& Material Fee $40

  • The Young Musician  (ages 6 to 7 years)

    The Young Musician course is an exciting program which introduces beginning students to keyboard and piano skills, ear training, solfege singing (do re mi), pitch development, and rhythmic activities.  Parents share in class time, and are guided in follow-up activities.

    (4) 18 week semesters - 50 minutes per week

    $85 mo.  - Registration fee $40 per family (paid in advance to reserve your place in class) & Material Fee of $40

     

  • Keyboard prep  (ages 8 to 11 years)

    The Keyboard Prep course is designed for children who are studying music for the first time.  This motivating program developes the student's basic musicianship skills through ear training, solfege singing (do re mi), keyboard solo and ensemble performance, and writing music.  Parent involvement is encouraged.

    (3) 18 week semesters - 50 minutes per week

    $85 mo.  - Registration $40 per family (paid in advance to reserve your place in class)& Material Fee of $40

  • Keyboard musician (advanced course)

    The Keyboard Musician course is for students who have completed Harmony Road Book 4, Young Musician Book 4, or Keyboard Prep Book 3.  Students continue to develope performance skills through the study of varied repertoire styles, technical studies, sight-reading songs and three and four part ensembles.  Ear training is expanded to include dictation, recognition of tonal centers, and chord progressions.  Transposing becomes an easily accessible activity.  Students learn to accompany themselves while singing solfege.  Two part singing and artistic repertoire encourage expressive musicianship.  Harmonic training develops an understanding of accompaniment styles.  Students are given step by step techniques to develop their own creativity through music composition.  In this program the students become acquainted with major composers and their place in music history.  Parent involvement encouraged.

    (4) 18 week semesters - 50 minutes per week

    $85 mo.  - Registration & Material Fee of $40 (paid in advance to reserve your place in class)

Payment & Options:Policies

Monthly By Check:

Each Registered family will receive an email bill for tuition.  Tuition is then due by the 10th of the month. 

Every registered family who chooses to by monthly by check will submit a  credit card number for over due payments.  If tuition is 10 days late, a email notice will be sent out as a reminder.  If tuition is 15 days late, tuition will be automatically deducted from the credit card number given plus a $5 late pay fee.  Everytime a late payment is made an extra $5 will be added to the total.

Automatic Withdrawl

It's simple!!  Just fill out the automatic withdrawl form when you register giving your credit card account information and we will email you a bill and reciept everymonth.

Semester Paid in Full:

If you choose to pay the whole semester in full at the beginning of the semester, you wil recieve 5% discount off of your total tuition.  Materials and registration fee not included.

 

No refunds will be made for missed classes.

 

A 2 week notice is required to withdraw from the program.  Students withdrawing pay tuition through the end of the month in which they withdraw.  We reserve the right to suspend students for non-payments of tuition.
